Bahrain Duty Free Shop Complex has reported a 12.7% decline in net profit at $4.4 million for the second quarter ended June 30.

The company attributed this to reduced income from one investment which last year paid out an exceptionally large dividend.

Profit before dividend income saw an increase of 9.1% to $2.9 million versus the same quarter last year.

Earnings per share are down by 1% on prior year basis at 8.7 cents and total equity on the company's balance sheet stands at $109.9 million.
